The DC-10 was McDonald Douglas' second widebody aircraft after the DC-8.  This was a major widebody aircraft which at one time most every airline flew.  This plane has a range of 5,800 miles with an average passanger capacity of 240 seats.  Major customers included United, American, Hawaiian, Northwest, Continental (see above), Canadian, Varig, British Airways, Air France, Japan Air Lines (JAL), and Cathay Pacific.  This photo was taken from airliners.net and photo credit goes to Gary Watt.
